Each restaurant will serve several items providing a sampling of their cuisine with a total of nearly 200 items from desserts like Bananas Foster, Italian Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Strawberry Shortcake, Sorbet, Baklava, Cannoli, and Turtle Torte, to Lasagna Rollas, Gyros, Gourmet Pizza, Beef Tri-Tip Wraps, Cajun Sausage, Sirloin Burgers, Cow Pie, Meatball Subs, Crab Rangoons, Quesadillas, Shrimp Etouffee, Sushi and Sashimi , Sliced Prime Rib, Bourbon Chicken, Sunset Scampi, Gamberi, Grilled Vegetable Sandwiches, Beef Satay, Coconut Shrimp, Egusi Stew, Cuban Sandwich, Fire Thighs, Chicken Curry and Jambalya.  Vegetarians will be delighted with the many choices from Black Bean Rice Salad, Garbanzo Feta Salad, Veggie Burritos, to Veggie Wraps.

COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS:
Each afternoon from 3pm to 6pm the area’s best chefs will demonstrate their talents and prepare dishes representative of their establishments, including ice carvings. It will be a great opportunity to learn of recipes and techniques and of course there will be plenty of delicious samples. Wine tasting and appreciation sessions will also take place in the Wine Bar.

BEVERAGES:
In addition to the many food selections a variety of beverages will be offered:
Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade, Vegetable and Fruit Juices from Minute Maid, Iced Teas, Sodas and Water from Coca-Cola; Wines from St. Julian Winery and Centerra will be featured in the all new Wine Bar where you’ll be able to buy tastes, glasses or bottles; Beers from Michelob and Guinness will be available, and local breweries like Bell’s, and Arcadia will be here with a Beer Garden featuring Michigan micro beers; also a variety of cocktails will be available featuring rum drinks and more from Captain Morgan, Cuervo margaritas, Tanqueray, and the many flavors of Smirnoff.

• Admission to the Taste of Kalamazoo is FREE before 4pm, $5.00 from 4pm-7pm, and $8.00 after 7pm.

• Gates open at 11:00am and close at 12:30am of Thursday night and 1:30am of Friday and Saturday nights.

• Food and beverage tickets are priced at $.50 each with items ranging in price from $.50 to $4.00.

• Children 12 years old and under attend for free.

• The Taste of Kalamazoo is graciously hosted by the Kalamazoo Jaycees.
